Worshiping Jesus

Worshiping Jesus

Let me encourage you today to take the time to honor and worship the King who makes all things possible and is the Giver of every good gift.

Worshiping Jesus

"Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him."

(Matthew 2:1-2)

What a splendid time of the year it is for the people of God as we focus upon Jesus our Lord and celebrate His birthday. He is truly the reason not only for this season but the reason for our very existence. Colossians 1:15-16 states: "Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see—such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him." Isn't that amazing?!

Let me encourage you today in the midst of the fun times with family and friends to take the time to honor and worship the King who makes all things possible and is the Giver of every good gift. James 1:17 states, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning." During the hustle and bustle of the Holidays, be sure to slow down and worship Jesus. You may want to break out in song, and this is a great one to sing to God:

O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem!
Come, and behold Him, born the King of angels!

O come, let us adore Him; O come, let us adore Him;
O Come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.

Sing, choirs of angels; sing in exultation;
Sing, all ye citizens of heav'n above!
Glory to God, all glory in the highest

O come, let us adore Him; O come, let us adore Him;
O Come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.

Yea, Lord, we greet Thee, born this happy morning;
Jesus, to Thee be all glory giv'n!
Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing!

O come, let us adore Him; O come, let us adore Him;
O Come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.

May the Lord Jesus grant you His continued grace and favor this day and throughout the coming New Year.
