Danny Forshee

President

Danny fully surrendered his life to Christ while a sophomore at the University of Mobile in Mobile, Alabama. Also while in college, he met Ashley Young, and the two were married on August 2, 1986.

Danny attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX, and received the Master's of Divinity and Doctorate of Philosophy degrees. He has served as a pastor of four churches and is currently the pastor of Great Hills Baptist Church in Austin, TX. He has also served as a professor of evangelism at two seminaries.

Danny and Ashley have three children and six grandchildren. Their daughter Hannah, who manages social media for DFEA, is married to Jeffrey Samplaski, Family Pastor at GHBC. Hannah and Jeffrey have three daughters: Claire, Riley, and Macie. Danny and Ashley’s son Bryant serves as Student Pastor at Cross Church, Springdale, Arkansas. He is married to Kyndall, and they have two sons, Tabor and Miller. Danny and Ashley’s son Leighton is the Campus Pastor of GHBC's newest church plant, Connect Church, in Liberty Hill, and is married to Danielle. They have two children, Bella and LJ.

Danny's passion is preaching the Word of God, sharing the Gospel with those who do not know Jesus, and helping equip the church to be bold witnesses for Christ. He also enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and participating in marathons and triathlons.

Ashley Forshee

Bookkeeping & Accounting

Ashley gave her life to Christ when she was ten years old in Gulf Shores, Alabama. She attended the University of Mobile in Mobile, Alabama, where she met Danny.

Ashley is passionate for Christ and for serving in her church. She serves in the women's ministry and on the First Impression Team at Great Hills Baptist Church.

Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, and taking the Gospel abroad on mission trips.

Hannah Samplaski

Social Media & Graphic Design

Hannah gave her life to Christ at a Summer youth camp when she was 9 years old. She manages social media for DFEA and is married to Jeffrey Samplaski, Family Pastor at GHBC. She and Jeffrey have three daughters: Claire, Riley, and Macie.

Hannah enjoys serving in the family ministry at Great Hills Baptist Church.

Chris Williams

Web Design, Email, & Audio

Chris is a professional audio engineer from Austin, TX. He graduated from the Art Institute of Austin in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Audio Production. He started his own business, Chris Williams Audio, while in audio school, offering Dialogue Editing, ADR, Foley, Sound Design, Music Recording, Mixing, and Mastering, and Live Sound services. Since January 2019, Chris has also run Podsworth Media, a podcast services company that offers audio and video production, distribution, and consultation services. Chris and his team at Podsworth also developed an automated dialogue cleanup app that they unveiled in March of 2023. They are always improving the app and adding features to it.

Chris has attended Great Hills Baptist Church and been a member of their media team since the Fall of 2013. He has run Front of House audio there since the Spring of 2015.

Chris and his wife, Katherine, were married by Pastor Danny at Great Hills Baptist Church on June 4, 2016. They enjoy serving in the church and supporting pro-life and pro-liberty organizations.

Corey Hatch

Video & Graphic Design

Corey has been a member of Great Hills Baptist Church since 1999 and began working as a media intern in 2003. Corey joined the media staff full time in 2006, and in January 2015, joined the pastoral team as the Media Pastor. Corey’s desire is to reach Austin, TX, with gospel of Jesus Christ through the various facets of multimedia.
