Over the last couple of weeks, I have written on the theme of Christmas Joy. Joy has been the primary word for me during this Holiday Season. In our devotions, we have noticed how Jesus brings us great joy. We have looked at His amazing, miraculous birth and His desire to grant salvation to all. I hope you have had some great times of joy, peace, love, and just good ol' fun this Holiday Season.
For our Christmas Eve services at Great Hills Baptist Church and Connect Church, I preached a message entitled "Christmas Fun". We had many people attend the services, as it is a tradition for numerous individuals and families.
To finish out this trilogy on "Christmas Joy", this week, we will discuss the Joy Jesus gives through blessing us with things like family traditions.
But first, let me share with you what God did just last week: After sharing a message on how Jesus gives us the joy of salvation, a lady in her 50s asked me after the worship service, "What is repentance?" I shared with her and her friend, and praise God, they both prayed to receive Christ! Talk about Joy!
Tomorrow I will share some of our fun holiday traditions we enjoy in our family. Jesus is the reason for all the joy and laughter in our home. Having our children and grandchildren together is pretty awesome. We eat a lot, laugh, and even have a few surprises that bring lots of joy.
Jesus promises a blessed life for all who hear and obey Him. Putting Jesus first in our family is a priority, and wow, God showers His blessings on us innumerably!
I am looking forward to sharing more with you on family traditions tomorrow!
But before I leave you for today, I just want to remind you that today is the second to last day of 2024! Wow, this year sure has gone by fast! That being the case, we only have a little time left to meet our funding goals for this year and start 2025 off on the right foot.
