God is in Your Story

God is in Your Story

If we live long enough on this earth, all of us will walk through some very hard, dark, and difficult days. But God is near the brokenhearted.

God is in Your Story

"The Lord has done great things for us,
And we are glad."

(Psalm 126:3)

Mike Weaver of the Christian Band, Big Daddy Weave, experienced the painful death of his brother and fellow band member, Jay Weaver. Jay died at 42 years of age after contracting COVID in January of this year. Mike said that anyone who knew his brother knew how much he loved the Lord. Jay, who battled bad health for many years, gave this powerful testimony:

"It's a fairly lonely bed to lay in—until the Lord is remembered. I'm lying in this hospital bed by myself, but the Lord is the best I know of anybody to come down and get in our junk with us, and that's exactly what he did."

If we live long enough on this earth, all of us (and there are no exceptions) will walk through some very hard, dark, and difficult days. Some of these days might even turn into seasons of hardship and pain. But God. He is truly near the brokenhearted, and He is the only one who can mend our broken bodies and hearts.
Psalm 34:18 says, "The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit." Focus a moment on those sublime words, "The LORD is near." He is near to you right now in your hurt and pain. Call upon Him and allow the Lord to minister to you.

Mike Weaver and Katy Nichole have a powerful song that is climbing the charts entitled, "God Is in this Story." It is my favorite song currently and is a powerful reminder of how God never leaves or forsakes us, but He chooses to be with us the entire time of our travail. Some of the lyrics read:
God is in this story
God is in the details
Even in the broken parts
He holds my heart, He never fails
When I'm at my weakest
I will trust in Jesus
Always in the highs and lows
The One who goes before me
God is in this story

So if the storm you're walking through
Feels like it's too much and you
Wonder if He even cares at all
Well, hold on tight to what you know
He promised He won't let you go
Your song of healing's written in His scars

I know many people who are walking through some dark nights of their souls. It is truly heartbreaking to see what they are experiencing. As I have prayed for them and attempted to encourage them, I want to do the same for you. I pray that God comforts you in ways only He can. I also ask that you click on the following link and let your soul be ministered to and blessed by this song:
