"But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy."
(Titus 3:4-5a)
With the beginning of May now upon us, it reminds me of May 2019, the month Kyndall and I got married! Every time I write the date or I look at my phone and see "May", I think back to May 31, 2019! WHAT A DAY!
I think back to when I got to say my vows and marry my best friend, Kyndall. I think back to when we were surrounded by our best friends, the bridesmaids and groomsmen. I think back to when we got to celebrate with even more of our friends, everyone who came to the wedding.
I reflect on those moments and think to myself: this is the second greatest day of my life!
The greatest day of my life was May 25, 2014. That was the day that I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and savior. Now, I'm not going to make this devotional today all about my personal testimony, but I bring this up to ask you: How often do you reflect on the day you were saved? How often do you reflect on the Good News of Jesus Christ?
Take a moment right now and think about your own day of salvation.
Think about how your life changed! Think about how God has given you hope and a future! Think about how, in the midst of all of this uncertainty and craziness going on in our world right now, we have a relationship with the God of Peace and the God who shelters and protects us!
These thoughts should bring us to a point where we WORSHIP God for what He has done in our lives! We should CONSTANTLY be re-telling ourselves the Good News of Jesus Christ!

At the church where I serve on staff, we place a heavy emphasis on the "3 Circles" Gospel presentation. Recently, I have been drawing out the "3 Circles" Gospel presentation when I start my devotional time with God. This has been such a powerful moment in my own walk with the Lord, because it reminds me of my separation from God, God's love for me to send Jesus, and how Jesus has saved me by His death, burial, and resurrection from the grave! It reminds me of my salvation!
CHALLENGE: Right now, think about the time that you were saved. Write down the thoughts you are having right now. Write down words of gratitude to God for what He has done in your life.
