"By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the One Who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence."

In the time I have been married, since May of 2019, I have learned A LOT about myself and about my sweet wife, Kyndall! After buying our first house in September, I have learned two things: 1. Kyndall is a project person. 2. I am NOT! My wife absolutely loves projects! She sees something in her mind, does the research on what she needs to get, looks at the budget (shout out to Kyndall for being budget savvy), and sees what project she can start next! After all of the prep work, she buys the supplies and materials, and voilà, a new project is in full swing!
On one project, a dresser, we had an unfortunate realization: we were not given all the pieces to put it together. Now, my wife is resilient, and she came up with a solution. The problem-solving, teacher side of Kyndall came out, and we got the project done. Let's be honest: although I tried to help, I was not much help. I was very frustrated and annoyed that we did not have all the pieces to finish the project the way we were supposed to.
As a follower of Jesus Christ, we never have to face this frustration because of the truth of 2 Peter 1:3. This was another verse, like yesterdays, that I had never really paid much attention to, and when I read it last year, it jumped off the page at me. God has given us EVERYTHING we need for living a godly life. Let that truth sink into your heart and let it encourage you. Think about the gifts that He has given you for living a godly life.
Upon salvation and beginning a relationship with the God "Who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence," He gave you the Holy Spirit to come live inside you and be with you the rest of your life. He gave you gifts and a place to serve and use your gifts. He gave you a community of brothers and sisters in Christ to walk with you through this crazy thing called life. He gives you the fruit of the Spirit, He gives you His word to live your life by. By God's divine power, we have been given EVERYTHING we need for living a godly life, and hence, a good, purposeful, fulfilling, and impactful life.
Let us PRAISE GOD for all that He has given to us to equip us for life here on earth.
