We Are Family

I love the Aaronic priesthood blessing over the people of God in Numbers 6. My prayer for you and your family is for God to bless you in all these ways mentioned in this text.

We Are Family

"The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace."

(Numbers 6:24-26)

During the Christmas Holidays, we had a professional photographer take pictures of our family. (Erin Fulenwider is her name, and she does a great job.) It was our kids' Christmas present to Ashley and me. It got pretty wild at times, because we have seven grandbabies, and they’re all five years of age and younger! Here is the photo of our entire family, including my mother-in-law Evelyn:

I am grateful to God for all His blessings. I am most grateful for Jesus, my Savior and Lord. He saved me when I was a teenager, and I have not gotten over it! He changed my life, forgave all my sins, placed His Holy Spirit within me, and gave me peace and purpose. My life verse is Romans 10:9: "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." I did this, and true to His Word, Jesus saved my soul.

I am grateful to God for my family. Ashley and I have been married over 38 years, and we still not only love each other, but we actually like each other too! She is the best, and I am grateful to God for her. Jesus is the Rock of our family, and Ashley is the glue keeping us all together. He has blessed us with three amazing children and seven grandchildren (and I am praying for even more grandkids)! Here is a picture that Erin took of Ashley and me and our grandchildren:

When you read the title of today's devotion, did you start humming the song by Sister Sledge? The four sisters released the hit song in 1979 (yes, I am dating myself here). But still today I remember this fun, up-tempo song. Here are some of the lyrics:

We are family
