"And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places."
(Ephesians 1:19-20)
This week, we have been looking at the power available to followers of Jesus. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives within us. But that power is only unleashed when we believe.
The title of my devotions is borrowed from the song "Believe for It" by CeCe Winans. She has won 23 Dove Awards, received 31 Grammy nominations, and won 15 Grammys. I have appreciated CeCe Winans' music for many years, but this is by far my favorite song from her. She is one gifted and godly lady. Interestingly, Winans was Whitney Houston's best friend and is the godmother to her daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown. Winans has a star on the Nashville Music City Walk of Fame and the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

"Believe for It" won the 2021 GMA Dove Award for Gospel Worship Recorded Song of the Year. CeCe Winans won 3 more Grammy Awards just a couple of weeks ago. The song "Believe for It" won Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song. The album "Believe for It" won Best Gospel Album. She also won a third Grammy, Best Gospel Performance/Song, for the song "Never Lost."
CeCe Winans has 9 brothers and sisters. She began her career singing with her brother, BeBe Winans. She is "the bestselling and most-awarded female Gospel artist of all time." While talking about "Believe for it", Winans said:
"It's bigger than a record, it's a theme that I really want people to embrace—people who believe in God and people who might not ever go to church. I believe that hope is needed, and I want to impart this into the hearts of people everywhere. The song challenges people to not brush off your dreams; don't give up or give in, but it's time to believe that you can make it. Believe that you can achieve what's in your heart. It's time to believe for wholeness and healing for yourself, your family, and your community. It's time to believe for unity. I want to challenge you to believe for the impossible. Why? Because we serve a God who specializes in the impossible. Believe, and the mountains will move."
