"He is not here, for He has risen, as He said.
Come, see the place where He lay."
(Matthew 28:6; ESV)
From my family to yours, Merry Christmas! I hope and pray that today is filled with joy, laughter, family, and fun times. As the festivities go on, I hope that you take time to reflect on Jesus.
Today is Christmas, and I would love for you to reflect on Jesus, our Savior and Messiah. The verse above is what the angel said to the women who showed up to the empty tomb. Jesus came to this earth as a baby, just like the rest of us, and that is the reason for celebrating Christmas. However, His mission was not just to show up on earth; His mission was the cross. His mission was being the sacrifice for our sins. His mission was to bring humanity back to a right standing with God. His mission was the Father's heartbeat. His mission was to rise again on the third day, triumphant over sin and death… and He completed that mission.
Take some time today to jot down some thoughts:
What does the Messiah's birth mean to you?
What does your salvation mean to you?
What do you think of when you think about the cross?
What do you think of when you think about the empty tomb?
What do you think of when you think about Jesus sitting at the right hand of God?
What thoughts come to your mind as you reflect on the day that Jesus saved you?
I hope you take some time today to enjoy family and friends, but more importantly, take some time today to reflect on Jesus.
Merry Christmas!
